Program Guidelines |

| |
You will be expected to strictly follow these rules and guidelines to ensure that everyone has a rewarding and successful experience:
- The Program is only available for high school students
- Classes are held on every other Saturdays (see Calendar Schedule) from 9am to 1:30pm. All students are expected to arrive 15 minutes ahead of time.
- Students are not allowed to miss more than two classes. If you do miss a class, please tell us in advance and coordinate with other students as well as use the lecture materials online to catch up for the missed class.
- Each student is expected to bring classroom materials such as a notebook, folders, etc. and should take relevant notes on anything he/she might utilize for the business plan competition.
- Parents are not allowed to participate or watch the classes, except for the orientation session on September 19th, the mock presentation, and the final presentation. However, it is very important that parents are engaged and provide encouragement and support to the students.
- Business Plan Competition team must be between 4-5 people. Further guidelines on the competition as well as working with your assigned mentor will be given later in the Program.
- In order to get a certificate from the program, a student must complete the entire business plan competition including the final presentations to judges.
- The winners of the Business Plan Competition are not allowed to compete in the future years; however, they are allowed to mentor, learn and participate in specific classroom session if they wish.
- The facility we are using is generously provided to us at no cost. It is absolutely mandatory that everyone cleans their space (pick up trash, move furniture to its original location, etc.) and clean the common areas (esp. the food) before leaving the facility. We must respect the facility (no chewing gum or sticking gum on furniture, no littering; students are allowed to use the classroom, bathrooms and general cafeteria area on the first floor, students are not allowed in other floors).
- Building communication skills is a core focus of TyE and it is absolutely critical to making sure the program runs smoothly. If you ever have any questions or requests (including not being able to follow one of these guidelines), please let the TyE team know as soon as possible and we will do our best to accommodate you.
