TYE was established in 2005  by the TiE Boston chapter as a part of it's education program. TYE focuses on teaching entrepreneurship to young people and helping them discover the rewards and challenges of becoming an entrepreneur. TYE Boston is embarking on its fifth successful year of operation. Over 140 students have participated in the program from over 25 local schools. As part of the TYE educational program, students participate in a $10,000 Business Plan Competition. There have been three winning teams to date. The Competition sponsors were Microsoft in 2006 and 2008, McDermott, Will & Emery in 2007.

Accomplishments:

• Received the TiE Global award in 2007 and 2008 for the most unique program implemented by a TiE chapter.
• Significant grants received from:
  - The Kauffman Foundation
  - TiE Global Organization
• Featured on CNBC National Television 2006 winning team
• Launched TYE website in 2008
